Miguel Bustamante (Canada, 1994)

Miguel Bustamante, known as MigyB, is a self-taught artist working primarily in the acrylic medium based out of Vancouver who grew up between Canada and Peru. Guided by life itself rather than honing in on one single style; his work varies from realistic impressionism exploring social perspectives to abstract expressionism commenting on society through his lens. He keeps himself out of a box; complementing his work with videos that dive deeper into the meaning of the subject matter in his paintings. Through the original presentation of his work, an emotional connection is achieved allowing for his curiosity in the world to echo.

MigyB has had 2 successful solo art exhibitions: A Spanish Fever Dream in 2023 and The Ecstatic Beauty in 2024 and is currently working on his third untitled collection.
